For those who like a more active outing: our kayaks. Narrow, agile and ideal for discovering the Frisian waters in a sporty way. As a guest, you can use our kayaks free of charge.

Fishing
Bring your fishing rod! You can enjoy fishing in our waters, “De Nije Swemmer”, directly from the quay or jetty. A beautiful, wide (open) fishing area, where you can catch pike and bream, among other species.
Good to know: from 2026, the fishing licence system here will work differently from the rest of the Netherlands. If you want to fish in Frisian lakes, canals or on Lauwersmeer, you will need a Frisian fishing licence or a weekly permit.
