Arrival and departure

You can check out until 10:00 at the latest.

Check-out at Ljeppershiem is contactless. This means that you can leave the park at the end of your stay. You are not obliged to report to us.

If you have any questions or comments, you can always contact us by phone or Whatsapp, or you can speak to us on our daily rounds on the holiday park. We ask you to respect our privacy and not enter our private property uninvited.

Would you like to arrive earlier than 15:00 or check out later than 10:00? Then please contact us. We will be happy to look at the possibilities.

After payment of the full invoice amount, you will receive the code for a key safe, located next to the door of the accommodation, in which the key is stored, by e-mail, WhatsApp or SMS one week before the arrival date. You are supposed to put the key back in the key safe when you leave the accommodation, also during your stay. We ask you not to take the key with you. In case of loss, theft or any other way of losing the key, we will charge € 100.

We ask you before your departure, to:

1.         Leave the accommodation swept clean.

2.         Place kitchen equipment ,cleanly washed and dried, back in the cupboards.

3.         Removing duvet covers and linen and placing them in one place.

4.         To leave the fridge and freezer compartment clean and empty.

5.         Not to leave food in the cupboards.

6.         Cushions of garden furniture to be stored clean and dry.

7.         Empty the dustbins.

8.        Report any breakages and/or damage.

9.         Close the windows and doors, turn the lock and leave the key back in the key safe.

10.       Take your own belongings with you.

During your stay

There is free WIFI in all our accommodations. You will find the access information in your holiday home.

Smoking in your holiday accommodation is not allowed, but there's always the outdoors.

A coffee filter machine is available in all accommodations.

The holiday park is car-free. You can load and unload at your holiday accommodation and then park your car in the central car park. Due to the limited parking space on the park, there is a maximum of one car per accommodation. If you wish to arrive with more cars/vehicles, please let us know.

We are still working on charging stations at Holiday Park Ljeppershiem itself. We refer you to www.oplaadpalen.nl for an overview of charging stations in the region.

Dogs are allowed in Tiny House 'De Wylp'. 
If you take your dog with you, you must inform us. There is a surcharge of €5.00 per night. 

Other pets are expressly not allowed without our permission.

We have a partnership with a local bike rental and will be happy to see if we can rent a bike for you at your preferred time.

With your reservation, you can book a breakfast basket to enjoy a delicious breakfast for 2 or 3 days.

For dinner, we refer you to restaurant Foestrum: https://herbergfoestrum.nl/, located in the village of Westergeest.  We advise you to make reservations due to crowds.

There are also dining options in surrounding villages such as Kollum and Buitenpost and the charming town of Dokkum. There is also shopping night in all these places on Friday evenings from 6pm to 9pm. 

Cleaning & linen

We will clean your holiday home after your departure. For this we will charge you a mandatory cleaning fee.

No, that is not necessary. For the number of people you have booked, the beds will be made for an additional charge.

Towels are not included as standard during your stay. While booking your holiday accommodation, you can book extra towels. It is also possible to receive towels on site.

Change or cancel your reservation

Please contact us by phone or e-mail. We will then see if we can accommodate your changes. The following rules apply:

  1. We are not obliged to accept changes, it is up to us whether we accept the changes.
  2. There may be costs associated with the change. Modification costs are €29.50.
  3. Changes requested 30 days or less before the start of your stay are generally not accepted.
  4. In case of a change to a cheaper period of stay and/or accommodation, you will owe the full original invoice amount. There is no refund.
  5. In the event of a change to a more expensive period of stay and/or accommodation, the invoice amount will be changed to the situation of the more expensive period of stay and/or accommodation.
  6. Changes are not valid until they have been confirmed by us in writing and the modification costs and/or additional amounts have been payed in full.

This can only be done in writing by e-mail. The following rules apply:

1. Within 14 days of making the booking, the booking can be cancelled free of charge unless the cancellation is made 30 days or less before the start of your stay.

2. If a reservation is cancelled after 14 days after making the reservation or within 30 days before the start of your stay, cancellation costs are due. These cancellation costs are 30% of the total amount if cancelled up to 30 days before the day of arrival and the full total amount if cancelled from the 30th day before arrival or later.

3. If you have not arrived within 24 hours of the agreed date without further notice, this will be considered a cancellation and you will owe the full total amount.

4. Cancellation of your reservation is not final until confirmed by us.

5. Any money already paid will be refunded, after settlement of the cancellation fee, within 7 days of the cancellation confirmation.

Payment

Yes, if you book online via our website, we ask you to pay 100% of the invoice amount at once.

When booking by phone, we ask you to transfer 100% of the invoice amount within 48 hours of receiving the booking confirmation sent by e-mail. If you arrive at Ljeppershiem within 48 hours after your telephone booking, we ask you to transfer 100% of the invoice amount before your arrival at Ljeppershiem.

Yes, at the time of your booking we will charge a deposit of €50.00 along with the price of renting the holiday home. The deposit is to cover any damage and/or costs - in the broadest sense of the word - that we may incur. The deposit or any balance thereof will be refunded after settlement of claims (damage to inventory/holiday home and/or other costs) within 7 days after departure.

No, if the deposit is not paid, we are entitled to deny access to the holiday home. If the deposit is not paid, we are also entitled to dissolve the contract with immediate effect.

Currently, the payment methods we use for online bookings are: iDEAL, Bancontact, Trustly, bank transfer and creditcard.

For telephone bookings, you can pay via a payment request sent by us or by bank transfer to IBAN: NL50 ABNA 0130 9758 50 in the name of Ljeppershiem B.V., stating the invoice number/reservation number.
