Arrival and departure

You can check out until 10:00 at the latest.

Check-out at Ljeppershiem is contactless. This means that you can leave the park at the end of your stay. You are not obliged to report to us.

If you have any questions or comments, you can always contact us by phone or Whatsapp.

Would you like to arrive earlier than 15:00 or check out later than 10:00? Then please contact us. 

We will be happy to look at the possibilities.

Next to the door of the accommodation, there is a key safe containing the key to the accommodation.

After paying the full invoice amount, you will receive the code for the key safe by email one week before your arrival date.

When leaving the accommodation, including during your stay, you are required to return the key to the key safe. 

We ask you to leave the accommodation tidy, which means:
- Swept clean
- Crockery washed and put away
- Beds stripped
- Fridge and freezer empty and clean
- Rubbish removed

During your stay

There is free WIFI in all our accommodations. You will find the access information in your holiday home.

Smoking in your holiday accommodation is not allowed, but there's always the outdoors.

A coffee filter machine is available in all accommodations.

The holiday park is car-free. You can load and unload at your holiday accommodation and then park your car in the central car park. 

Due to the limited parking space on the park, there is a maximum of one car per accommodation. If you wish to arrive with more cars/vehicles, please let us know.

We are still working on charging stations at Holiday Park Ljeppershiem itself. We refer you to www.oplaadpalen.nl for an overview of charging stations in the region.

Dogs are allowed in Tiny House 'De Wylp'. 
If you take your dog with you, you must inform us. There is a surcharge for bringing your pet.

Other pets are expressly not allowed without our permission.

Please indicate this when booking. Or contact us.

We have both electric and regular bikes available. Please let us know your preference.

Our supply is limited. Please keep that in mind.

With your reservation, you can book a breakfast basket to enjoy a delicious breakfast for 2 or 3 days.

In the village of Westergeest, as well as in surrounding villages such as Kollum and Buitenpost and the charming town of Dokkum, there are several places to eat. Also, all these towns have shopping evenings on Friday nights from 18.00 to 21.00. 

Yes, you do need a licence for this.

From 2026, the fishing licence system here will also work differently from the rest of the Netherlands. If you want to fish in Frisian lakes, canals or on the Lauwersmeer, you will need a Frisian fishing licence or a weekly licence.

Cleaning & linen

We take care of the final cleaning of your cottage. 

There is a compulsory charge for this.

No, that is not necessary. 

A bed linen set will be waiting for you in the cottage upon arrival.

Towels are not included as standard during your stay. 

While booking your holiday accommodation, you can book extra towels. 

It is also possible to receive towels on site.

Change or cancel your reservation

You can contact us by telephone or email to do this.

Would you like to change something about your booking? We will check whether this is possible. We charge an administration fee of €30 for this.

We are usually unable to accept changes less than 30 days before arrival.

Opting for a cheaper period or accommodation? In that case, you will not receive a refund.

You can cancel free of charge within 14 days of booking, unless you are arriving within 30 days.

In case of cancellation:

  • Up to 30 days before arrival, you will be charged 30% of the total amount.
  • From 30 days or later, you will be charged 100% of the total amount.

We recommend taking out cancellation insurance.

Payment

Yes, with us you pay immediately when making the reservation.

For online reservations, you pay 100% of the invoice amount immediately upon booking.

For telephone or verbal reservations, you pay within 48 hours of receiving the confirmation.

If you do not pay on time, we may cancel the reservation.

Yes, we ask for a deposit for every booking as security for any damage or additional costs.

You pay the deposit together with the rental fee.

After your departure, you will receive the deposit back within 7 days, if everything is in order.

In case of damage or additional costs, we will deduct this from the deposit.

Currently, the payment methods we use for online bookings are: 

  • iDEAL
  • Bancontact
  • Trustly
  • Bank transfer
  • Creditcard

For telephone bookings, you can pay via a payment request sent by us or by bank transfer to IBAN: NL50 ABNA 0130 9758 50 in the name of Ljeppershiem B.V., stating the invoice number/reservation number.
